Social Missions Across India and SE Asia

An important aspect of BBCM’s strategy is to align social missions with church plants.

“We have found that this approach accelerates church growth”, comments Dr. Jay.  “For example our South India Medical Missions program was setup in 2003 when the allied church plant was just 20 members.  By 2010, it’s a self-supporting, vibrant church with over 100 members.  Praise the LORD.”

Social missions programs include; Medical, Education, Disaster Relief and Homes for Abandoned Children.  Here’s a sample of BBCM social missions:

Springbuds Children’s Home

This children’s welfare project in NE India accommodation and educates 38 orphaned children.  They’re provided a loving, safe home and Christian education.

Kandilli Medical Center

Located in South India, this ministry has full time medical staff serving several village communities and hosts several Western medical teams each year.  The mission is allied to a thriving local church plant.

BBCM Natural Health Clinic

Led by Dr. Sonya Anson (Bangalore chiropractor), this health clinic serves the poor in the suburbs of NE Bangalore with natural healthcare and essential health education (basic hygiene, diet and nutrition)… more»

Dimapur Teachers Training Institute

This ministry is in planning and scheduled for launch in 2011.  The aim is to equip and send out teachers to work with children in disadvantaged communities.  This strategic initiatives addresses the desperate shortage of Christian teachers across India and SE Asia.

Community Projects

Including disaster relief accommodation for the Gujarat earthquakes and the Tsunami that devastated the South East Coast of India.
