About BBCM

NE India Church Planting Student

One of BBCM's church planting students (NE India) building relationship with the local community.

Established in 1989, BBCM is the God-inspired vision of Dr. Jay to disciple the Nations of India and SE Asia – a vision to plant 100,000 new churches by 2050.

Today, BBCM directly has 69 full time staff (management, projects and administration), directly supports over 150 church plants, indirectly support thousands of church plants (trained and mentored by BBCM) and undertakes numerous social missions across India and SE Asia.  “We still have a long way to go”, smiles Jay, “but we’re tremendously encouraged by the way the LORD has used us to further His Kingdom.”

Over the years, Jay and the BBCM team have refined their church planting model around some core objectives including:

  1. Planting churches that plant churches!  Once a new church plant takes root, the church planter is equipped and encouraged to plant sister churches nearby.  There are many BBCM examples to support the success of this duplication approach.
  2. Making each church plant financially self-sustaining.   “The goal is 3 years… we’re not there yet but we are making great progress” remarks Jay.  “It used to take 12 years but we’re now averaging 8 years although some take just a few years.”

BBCM is headquartered in Bangalore, South India and has affiliate offices in the US and Australia.
